“Some people
like to talk out their butts because they think they are superior to everyone.
Those are the people who will go nowhere in life and wallow in their problems,
that they take no initiative to fix, because of their problems. Those people
are perfect and I do not want to be one of those people.” –Meg Ash
This little spurt of thought came
from a day at work. I have this one co-worker that assumes all trials he faces
are because people want to hurt him and do bad to him. Nothing that he goes
through is ever his problem. This is where I say he will go nowhere.
James
1:12
Blessed is the man who
remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive
the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
Like James 1:12 say he should remain steadfast through his
problems and seek to fix them, not seek support from others in his complaints.
Instead of moving forward he wallows for days in his problems until he becomes
an angry monster.
James 1:22
But be doers of the word and not
hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
This same
co-worker seeks love in all the wrong places.
Bars and through friends who have previously been with his mates. It
makes me sad to see someone with so much potential repeatedly give himself away
to women who may want nothing more from him then somewhere to stay. Church is
not even in this persons mind unless it deals with meeting someone. That is
truly sad. Among my trials to get him to church and find the lord it always
comes back down to women and wallowing in his self induced pain.
I pray that one
day he might find a Christ fearing woman who can set him straight with the Lord
and the he can live up to his full potential with Christ.
I say at the end that
these people are perfect and I do not want to be one of them because they are
perfect in today’s media’s eyes. These people are the ones who spend too much,
drink too much, say too much, and none of it for God’s will. These are the people that some think live the
perfect lives. I see more than that. I don’t want their lives. I want my life
where I fight daily to find Christ in my life. Where daily I fight to find what
Gods goals are for my life. I want to live my life for God and praise him for
my trials because he won’t give me anything I am not strong enough to handle.
Corinthians
10:13
13 No
temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God
is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you
can endure it.
